Location: Southern Sweden - Sturkö island | Wow, I wish it was over here! For that pric, I would have bought it directly - Sviwel seat AND 6-way power to that! This seat fits many of the cars, but the seat covers are for sure DeSoto! Happy biddings! |

Quite a stretch from the very rusty non-power swivel '59 setup I sold a year ago for $250. |

Be sure NOT to harm what's left of the Soto upholstery, when you remove it, as it is a valuable artifact/template
for spare-OEM material and/or for the correct restoration of another car's interior.

Location: .Norfolk..Mafia.. ,England UK | Well looks like Swivel Seats are comming out of the Woodwork Now,, Here is Another seat listed on Ebay,,
.................................................................................................
Located in Mossleigh, Alberta, Canada

$500 start Bid with a $1400 Buy It Now,, Removed from a 60 Desoto
Description..
This is an original set of swivel bucket seats out of a 1960 DeSoto. I believe they will also fit 1959, and also fit Chrysler, Dodge and Plymouth for those 2 years.
The last picture shows 2 frame sections, left and right, removed from another seat. You don't need the frame sections, but if you want the swivels to be actuated by the opening of the doors then you will require the linkage rods, the cad plated swivel arms which connect to the cable, and the pulleys which are attached to these. For some reason, those items had been removed from these seats. Fortunately I had these parts from another seat, so that makes these seats complete.
As you can see, the seats do swivel without those extra parts by activating the side levers. Those extra parts are only to actuate the seats from the opening of the doors. Does not include the cables which run to the doors, those can easily be made up.
What you see is what you get. Please ask any questions before bidding. Can ship UPS if they'll take something this size, I don't know off hand, but if not then they'll have to go by freight. Do not assume the shipping cost in the listing to be correct, it is not, shipping costs will depend on carrier and your location. You can reach me at (403) 534-2222, Rick.
I am parting out this sedan, so if you require anything else please ask. Real nice rust free front fenders on it!
Thanks for looking! |

And, being's that they're of'n a sedan, their seat backs don't recline, but,
that fixed-position can be easily rectified, huh?

Not sure if this will help the discussion any, but here are the non power swivel seats that are in my '57 DeSoto, for what it's worth.
They came from a '59 DeSoto (not available on the '57 Firesweep)...BTW...I have no idea whatever happened to my the original seats that were in my car.

Rosy,
When I was kicking Leon's Tires, he told me the seat found him. He said he didn't care that they weren't available in 57. They look great in your car! |
