Sorry John, still don't have a really good video of my 59 Dodge Cruising down the highway, accept for "Chasing down one of Aivar's cars --buttt buttt, We were at Aivar's today, and He told me Neil gonna get a kick out of one of the videos I sent to him, (I miscalled the type of car He drove to the show)
I said, "Hmmmmmm, I checked all the videos I put up and I don't recall such an error, and if I saw the error I certainly would not have sent the video (at least before I edited out the "goofup")
Anyway, I did not do this video, and in fact did not know it had been done, till Aivar showed it to me.
So we will post the video for 2 reasons.
1 , for You John as you wanted a video of my car.
2 , for Mr. Vedder's entertainment/education---Let's see if He finds my "Fopaw"

A stunning car Gary, your red beauty, with all electronic gadgets, perfectly hidden!
I already told John, when commenting my Convertible: we use to have a special look at other ladies and often feel the others more attractive then the own one. And this not only at ladies with four wheels, but as well at some with two legs! - SERGE -

I really like your car Serge, and it fact, had mine not been painted red by the seller, I would have seriously considered painting it like yours, I really like your paint scheme. In fact, before I redid my interior , I seriously considered painting the car solid yellow (there is another car like that on the net), but I have bought 2 red cars in my life, a 57 Soto and a 66 Coronet 500 and I liked the color of them both, and I do like the particular red on my car, so I just decided to leave it alone, for now, paint is not "Show Quality" but is certainly adequate for a "Driver" like mine is.
Thanks for your comments Serge, Take care!
"Cool Video Gary..
Really am Impressed at the Hide Away Stereo with Pop Up screen.. Great Idea
Thanks Rebels, Folks really get a kick out of it, and it really does provide some "Good Sounds" whilst I drive the car or it sits at a show. I have a huge battery in the car, so I can play the DVD player all day, and yet the car still starts.
I do have one of those "Small Motor"-High Torque starters--they draw very little power so that helps too.
Thanks for comments!!!

Nice video, Gary.
Your background is in electronics, right?
There were several faux pas (plural?) ; you mean when you told him about the car's OEM colors
or its OEM engine (a 361), or about the model of the car sitting next to yours?
The convertible boot's color should match the interior color.

It had to do with Aivar's car, Neil
Yes You are correct about boot color and I suspect since car was originally a Coronet it probably was a 326?
Yes my background is/was Electronics. I designed that pop-out for the DVD, but one of my employess actually built in and installed it (before I retired)--even back then I wasn't crazy about climbing under dashes

Gosh Gary a Thread with my name on it!!! Thanks for posting the You Tube video. I did not meet up with you and Aviar till just before you too were leaving for the day (Darn swap meet offerings kept me away from both of your converts. and leaving my cell phone off did not help when you called me)
It was a great day in seeing Leno and his turbine car and two FL Converts!
Look forward to next year and I think I will get my car there and bring Lancer Mike with me!

Gary, Very good to see this video . It puts a personal touch on you and your Dodge. I appreciate your honesty on your car description. Don't pay any attention to Neil's nit- picking--he can't help himself! ....................................MO

Gary, on the first original picture (1) our 1959 Convertibles have something common: Your one the all in red exterior, my one the white interior (was custom made according this picture).
On the picture (2) I tried to copy your car, and on the last picture (3) my car as well . Not absolute authentic, but at first view a comparative impression. Subjected to say, the originals are most popular. This Original Picture motivated me when young to purchase one day a 1959 Dodge Convertible, and I never saw a real one before I got mine.
