Can somebody decode the fender tag for me?
Possibly someone can but you need to post a photo of it to get the ball rolling.

Location: The Mile High City | Let's see here... I'll take a shot at it, but others know much more than I do. Built October 21, 1957 Dodge Coronet Sedan Monotone Ebony Black Options: TorqueFlite three-speed automatic AirTemp Air Conditioning! Accessory Group 2: heater/defroster; back-up lights; passenger outside mirror; inside mirror prismatic; and radio Solex Glass, all: standard with air conditioning Undercoating Very interesting car! Seems like we are not seeing the whole plate. It seems rare to me to see a B car (not sure what that code means). You might check on the top side of the cardboard golve box (between the underside of the dash and the glove box) to see if it has a broadcast sheet. |

Location: Chattanooga | Here is another picture of the fender tag that may show more info. Is this car a D500?

Location: The Mile High City | Yes it is! I should be the single four-bbl 361 D-500! Cool beans! I can't see the last digit of the TRM code but I think it is either a red and black interior or green interior.

Location: The Mile High City | You are quite welcome! I am but a student of a whole host of forum members who know coding. You and I benefit from their knowledge. I would love to see some images of the car. It sounds like a real gem. Oh, and if you can find that broadcast sheet, it will tell you much more! It should look something like this

Good work Mike!! You are correct.
It seems I have to jump through hoops to even respond to this forum so I'm not particularly interested in doing so!

Greg
I hope that the "hoops" issue can be resolved Greg because your expertise on 57-58 Dodge (and other) matters is needed.
The issue can't be too serious because on this trip to Italy, Turkey, Italy (again) and now France (Nice), the only issue has been in Turkey. I have remained logged in and able to respond/reply all the time in Italy and France. Canada shouldn't be an issue.
Maybe Sven can help? |

Location: The Mile High City | Thank you, Greg! As Dave notes, Greg is a superhero among men! Most every car I have seen has an "A" before the date code. This car appears to have a "B" before the date code and is an early model year build. I would love to know the story behind the A and B codes. |
