Location: So. Cal | I would like to replace the piston pins on my OEM 392 hemi pistons. The originals are about 0.003" longer than the new ones. Is that a problem? I don't know what the tolerance is on the length or what issues could arise from it being a little short. |

Location: Alaska | These are full floating pins correct? As long as the the keepers (circlips?) fit in the grooves properly, I don't see any problem. Are you worried a bout a weight difference?

Location: So. Cal | Yes, full floating. I think they may have made them shorter because the new style clips are bigger at .071" wire diameter, whereas the old style clips are .06" wire diameter. I guess I could run all new clips, but I'm not sure they would be compatible with the old piston grooves. As long as I am running all new pins, any weight difference shouldn't matter.
