| I have seen concourse restored 61 imperials with the engine vents both ways. one dumps to atmosphere the other with a valve back to the engine. I have talked to original owners with unmodified cars and they claim the valve is original. What gives?

Location: Sept. 1958 | PCV valves were factory available as an option in 1961, but mandatory for California cars. An Imperial with a PCV valve had a Carter carburetor 3134S on it originally. |
