Hi all. I'm leaning towards installing seat belts in the 61 Fury. The daughter won't let me take the grandkids for a ride without them and they REALLY want to go. I'm not a stickler for originalality as this is not a show car. Here are my questions.
Where are the best mounting/attaching points on the floor?
How are they attached ? (bolt grade, lock nut etc.)
What other C body cars will transfer over to my 61 that i can use ?
Where do I obtain the right belts ?
I'm sure there's more to this project than I realize so any input or info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the info Apollo. How about attach points ? There's no provisions in the factory floor sheet metal.
Where and / or how can attach the anchors ?

Most seat belt suppliers who deal with vintage cars provide Grade 8 bolts and big washers for the attachments. You provide the drill and the wrenches.
For more elaborate installations, e.g. shoulder belts, you can find some hints in my seat belt posts:

WOW those look great !! When the time comes to install them on the 4dr belvy I'll definitely check those out.
But first I'd like to install lap belts in the convert. I'll do some more research and check out the vendors that Apollo and others suggested. Thanks !!

For floor mounts, I like to use these and spot weld them into the floor. They provide more safety than just a large washer and it makes it much easier to deal with installing and removing the seat belts. Be warned though, that I've had to replace the nuts that are welded to it as the Chinese quality hardware wasn't up to a reasonable safety spec.
