I drove to Greeley this afternoon to check out a 1969 Lincoln Mark III at a place called Conquest Classic Cars.  Turns out they had the 1957 Adventurer with the continental kit from Barrett Jackson (there's a thread about it somewhere in the forums).  The salesman was a awesome young fella named Garrett Hasty 970-702-3454 garrett@conquestcc.com who owned a 1957 Fury and a 1957 Plymouth 4-door hardtop before buying a 1958 Belevedere Christine clone, which he has now.

As in lose the "Continental" kit spare?

And then ditch the fender skirts?

And then de-gold it?

Simpler and less blingy is better?

Whoever owned it and did all of that stuff to it probably really loved it and never had any intention of selling it.  Despite all of the customization, it was still a sight to behold!
