I'm restoring a 59 dodge cr 4 dr ht .... I have a question regarding the carpet and the plastic B-pillar cover . Does the carpet go under the plastics pillar cover or on the topside of the edge at the bottom of pillar? here a few pics. Thanks !

I have a 59 chrysler 4 dr HT. Pretty sure they use the same shroud too.
My 2 cents, being cut and sewn carpet I am willing to bet it went under. It would be easier to trim and provides a hold down similar to the step rail covers. These are the reasons I opted for under.

For what it's worth I went and looked at my '58 Belvedere 4-dr HT for you and the carpet in mine is definitely laid underneath the plastic BUT my car has had a replacement carpet and upholstery work in the past. It seems to me though that there is a considerable gap under the bottom lip of the plastic moldings, even above my carpet that it leaves no room to wonder where the carpet originally sat. I do believe it to be underneath..

Sure thing! I'd be interested how it turns out, when you're done please post a pic. Also where did you get the carpet and is it ready-fit or do you have to trim it to fit?

so far the fit looks good . but I had stock interiors make it 1" wider on the sides and 5" longer so it will meet the corners of the rear seat . it's a 4dr ht . it would have fit just fine with there stock measurements on the sides but it still needed that 5" added length to cover the corners of the rear seat . stock interiors were real easy to work with . I recommend .
