Location: Sweden | Found the 1957 New Yorker on this forum in December 2016. The car was in Texas but was sold new in Sunnyvale CA.
The seller was honest and described the car very well. After the purchase, it was transported to a friend´s place in Sacramento.
Shipped it to Sweden late -17 and started the restoration 2018. Changed the rusted out floors for a rustfree floor from a parts car.
Engine was turning but I discovered a crack in the block, so used another block. Egge Machine delivered all the parts for the engine.
Transmission was rebuilt locally. Interior material was bought from SMS auto fabrics and CH Trimshop did a fantastic work with the
upholstery. Chrome was done by Sherms in Sacramento. Did all the bodywork myself and a friend painted the body in his paint booth.
The restoration was finished in April -23 and I shipped it back to US to sell it at an auction in Winona MN together with 2 other
Swedish friend´s cars. It was sold to a company in Chigago

Location: So. Cal | Nice job. I've seen the pictures of the unrestored car, and the restored car, but never knew they were the same one.
Can you post some pictures of the original door panels before restoration? |

Location: D-70199 Heslach | The 57 Conv looks fantastic Jorgen. But I would never have a thought that a Swede would sell a convertible, especially not before the power meet, which I personally think is a shame
Are you going to Lidköping? And in that case, which car you'll use? |

That's as good as it gets! Fantastic job on the restoration!
I notice in the Before pictures that it has a white sweep. Was the car originally built all-Indian Turquoise? It is incredible. |
