After being without a forward look mopar for 8 years now I finally acquired a 1958 Plymouth Sport Suburban a few months ago here in Phoenix and cant wait to get started on its resto..I sold my 1961 Chrysler Newyorker 2dr Hardtop in 1999 which I had as a daily driver for 12 years.. before the Newyorker I bought a 1957 Dodge D500 2dr Hardtop when I was in highschool in the 80's with great hopes of restoring but never happened and sold it for $500! I paid $75.00 for it and it was complete and rust free..just needed the 325 hemi rebuilt.. I plan on having the "58 Burban" for many years and am looking forward to using and contributing to this forum so we can keep these cars alive..

Karl, where you located?  I'm around T-Bird and 67th Street, No. Phx.  I've got a '56 Dodge I'm rebuilding now, in fact, hoping to pull the block out this weekend.

Jay

Hey Jay,

Cool 56..I've always liked that bodystyle...Are you doing the engine work yourself? I've started pulling out my 318 ..Any recommendation on who to use for the rebuild? I've talked to Randy at Phoenix Engine Rebuilders who seems knowledgable on the older mopars..If I had more time I'd do it myself but I'm trying to get it on the road in the next few months I'm located in central Phoenix near Central and Camelback.. Keep in touch..!
