Location: Park Hills, KY | All, I noticed following my last cruise which was 200 miles or so, that my car's idle is shakey and rough, moreso when applying a small amount of accelerator. I can feel then engine vibrating until I rev to a higher rpm, the it is fine. Same while driving, it vibrates and acts as if it wants to stall unless I give it a lot of gas. Then it goes fine, althought I feel like with a bit less power.
Since I'm no mechanic, I can only speculate.
Accelerator pump?
Timing?
Not sure. Any input is appreciated. |

Location: Chestertown, NY ( near Lake George) | Timing should always be checked as well as point dwell, but this sounds like a carb issue. Accel pump is not the root cause of the stated symptoms, I would go thru the carb if all else checks out first. |

Location: central Illinois | Check all your vacuum hoses too, especially around the brake booster and tank. Grab them and move them around some to see if they're leaking. |
