I know this has been asked before but I need a program to resize pics. for this site. What do you recommend that may be free or at least inexpensive to download?

Microsoft Paint (you most probably already have it) go for a resize of 30-40%

Right click on the photo, choose the 5th option (edit?) and the photo will open in paint

I just e-mail 'em to myself and use the resize feature in outlook express
Works for me!

I just e-mail 'em to myself from the card after I put it in the 'puter and use the re-size feature in outlook express before I hit "send"
Simple, can send one or the whole card full.
Works for me!

If you're using Windows, download their Powertoys and image resizing is just a right-click away.

Here is what Matt taught me to do --- works fine on my iPad.

Take photo. Touch I Resize (app). Select photo. Touch the bottom right "box with an vertical arrow". Touch Simple Resize. Reduce photo size down to less than 1000. I aim for about 950. Touch OK.

The resized photo will show in I Resize Results.

I've used Irfanview to crop photos and/or resize them (typically from 3200 x 2300 to 1024 to 760 for this website).

I also use it do process screen captures, i.e. capture what is on the screen as a jpg with Shift/Print Screen, then Edit (in Irfanview), then Paste and then click and drag the area I want and then Crop Section (cut out) and save. Anything that is on the screen can be saved this way.

It is free.

I started this thread to help people post photos with their text: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=64340&...
