What is the consensus (if there is one!) on the size of the whitewalls for a '55 Plymouth Belvedere? 2.2.5,2.75.etc.
Thanks,
C Drake

Hello Carole.

Welcome to our forum. I have received a lot of help from these guys.

This is a picture of the tire in my trunk which I believe is one of the original tires. If not original, it was definitely bought in the early 1960's. The white wall is 2 1/2 inches wide. The car has always been in my family.

I have a 1955 Plymouth Savoy but I think the tires are the same as the Belvedere.

Thanks, Samstrader!I will go with 2.5". I think if I were to go larger than 2.5,it would be even bigger $$$!
