Nathan....

What I see looks pretty good. Hope Donnie works out that left rear fender patch a little more for you before the painting.
Don't see any front fenders? Donnie providing them, or did they just not get in the pictures?

What color(s) is it getting painted?

I've had this car for more than TEN YEARS now. It was my first ForwardLooker, and my first old car for that matter.

Since I bought it, it's been basically neglected at various different shops.... For the first few years, it sat in a High School body shop in my hometown... Then the instructor of the High School class moved it to the shop at his house. From there, it went to yet another guy's place... None of these places ever really seemed to get much work accomplished.

The fenders are with the car, but they were off when we moved it...
(The fenders came from Texas Acres a few years back... Great folks to deal with.)

Quarter patches you see are mostly hand-made (& half-assed) by high schoolers... Donnie's gonna take care of putting on some new lower rear quarters for me. (Got those from Desert Valley... After MONTHS of waiting, they finally arrived the day Donnie came for the car.)

On a side note, make SURE you know exactly what you're getting if you happen to order from D.V.A.P. Those quarters I got ARE rust-free... but there are some big ol' dents near the wheel arch that Donnie's gonna have to heal for me.

When it comes to colors, here's what I've got in mind:
- Sea-Reef Green Metallic (a 59 F0RD Thunderchicken color) for the main body & door pillars
- Silver Metallic for the roof, fins, and lower body.

Interior will be the stock PATTERN, in black & white vinyl... Cloth seat inserts will be a grayish velour with roll-pleats about an inch-and-a-half wide.

Now, it's off to 58Donnie's Fin Factory to get some REAL work done!
I can't wait.

I added interior information to my post above...
When it comes to photoshop, I'm awful at it.
I would welcome anyone who wanted to tackle tha project, though.

Danny Vandergriff once got it pretty darned close for me with those colors on another thread.

No slam meant to Donnie, but you should be building that car yourself. Chicken. If a half assed drunk like me can do it, anyone with more than one brain cell to rub together can.

Nevermind, I think I figured out the problem.

Clive...

The seats are already done.
In fact, I had them done as soon as I pulled 'em out of the car.
(I was hoping for the mythical "quick restoration.")

Meanwhile, they've been in storage for several years now.
As far as I know, they're still in tact... and they look great.

As I recall though, the door panels could use a little freshening up.
I believe they're the same pattern as yours, though.

Thanks for the photos. It's always good to see another one of these cars in a finished state.
Gives me something to look forward to.

This car should be pretty easy to get into paint with the biggest issuse being the lower quarters and fixing an auto body instructors f@ckup on the rockers. Rather than make the re-pop rockers match the car he tried to make the car match the rockers. Jesus wept. It will probably be more toward spring before I get started but when I do things will move along fast. I have a couple of other cars in line in front of his to get done. I hope to have a much bigger shop by late summer so I can at least do two or three at a time.
