Looks to me like he's got more 'crushers' than cars in that lot.

A few years ago I read about a guy who paid big money for a Superbird out of AL that was rusted into the ground, just so he could have the vin plate and use that to construct a new Superbird and register it as a 70 model car that had been restored. I bet there are lots of VINs and VIN plates here.

May have missed a couple-few of the yard's cars, but here's some screen-shots.

That 57 CRL 2-dr HT is the standard model, with the 325 Poly head engine.

Looks like it had manual brakes.

Swapping VIN plates is illegal, comes with a victim. The Victim is the guy who buys the car relying on the VIN. Every US State has laws against it, some provide felonies.

I've been by that place lots of times. Talked to Mack too. He is a super nice guy. He lives in the house directly across the highway from the junkyard. He has a bunch of nice street rods at his house. Unfortunately, he will not let anyone in the junkyard. He said the photos showed up on the internet because a boy was doing a project for school and he let him and his Dad in there to take pictures. Mack told me(years ago) that nothing could be sold at the time because everything was tied up in court. The state widened the highway through there and he had to move cars and wouldn't. They moved them and he was suing the state(what I was told). I was also told that the really good(desirable) cars are in the woods behind his house. Could be rumor.

This newest link of stuff for sale is news to me. Maybe he is finally selling. He used to race at the local dirt tracks years ago. I suppose that is where the race cars are from.

Google earth the address

1640 New Franklin Road
LaGrange, Georgia 30240

Then go south on the highway about 1/4 mile. You will see the cars. You will see his house with the red roof across the highway and sure enough, there are some more cars on the same side of the highway as his house.

I could use the '61 if the rear fender panels are good. I was told they can be made.
