Have to locate my info / list of the the number codes under the letters

Though basically the numbers under the letters are as follows:
• AB are for the engine designation
• C is transmission and pretty certain that the “3” is for torqueflite
• D power options this could be for a power convertible top but have also seen a 1962 fender tag with number “4” under letter D denote power windows

Note that the 1961 and 1962 fender tags are set up with the same format / sequence but the actual codes (numbers) can be different options.
Will try to post more info once the option code list is located

The sales code for Torqueflite in 1961 was 283 so "3' is correct.

A "4' for power equipment would be 294 - Power Window Lifts

The engine code was a single number on the 1961 data tag. A "2" would be 352, 318-V8, 4-bbl while a "3" would be 353, 361-V8, 4-bbl.

1962 was still a single digit (ie, the last digit of the sales code). 1964 brought about the two digit code as the there were more than ten engines. The engine sales code consisted of the last digit of two three digit codes. The first digit was "0" from code 500 or "1" from 501, and the second was the third digit of 510 to 519. "05" (500 and 505) was for the 383 2-bbl engine while "15" (501 and 515) was the 413-cid with 1 4-bbl engine.

If you want a good picture of the options on your car, send a request to Chrysler Historical for the build record for your car, along with proof of ownership. Could tell what options your car has and help place the correct options to the letters on your body tag.

Thanks to everyone for all your help with this fender tag. Does anyone have an address for Chrysler Historical?
