do the rear side windows on a convertible crank down all the way?
I can't get mine to go down past half way and then stop.

Phil: The answer is probably that they should go all the way down but you might want to remind us about the car you are talking about (??) Year? Make?

Your regulator is either mal-adjusted, or your rollers are frozen up. Take the panel off and check it out. Look at the FSM for help with adjusting it properly.

Whoops, sorry about that. 1961 Plymouth Fury.
It just seems odd that they both go down and stop at the point.

That's a common occurrence for a mis-adjusted window. When they aren't adjusted properly, they will bind at some point on the way down.

I kind of figured as much. My car looks like the one in the picture above
except instead of white with red mine is blue with white.
Any tips on taking the panels off would be appreciated. I have an FSM but they don't have a lot of information on convertibles.
I don't want to break anything.

I don't see any obvious screws or anything like that. Do the panels just lift out.?

There are a bunch of hidden clips. It is best to use a pronged clip remover to pry the panel off with them, otherwise if you just pull on the panel, the clips will rip the panel. I think there are also 2 screws in the very back of the panel.

I think Nathan is talking about the same clips that I used when I made new door panels, as shown here:

That's great info, thanks guys. I trying to figure out how they're attached because as I said, there's no obvious screws on the outside.
I'll proceed carefully.
Love the pictures !!!

Often, cleaning the old dried out grease out of the tracks and using a lubricant such as Fluid Film will allow the windows to work again, if the car has been setting for years, If it was restored recently, probably a misadjustment of the tracks.

I'm hoping it's something that simple.
I'll let you know what I find. Thanks again.

Well, I got the panels off and to my delight, all it needed was a good cleaning of the mechanisms and tons of lubrication.
Windows are working fine. Thanks to everyone for the help.
