Hello 1958300

G1 = Light Package
H2 = Torqueflite Transmission
J2 = Power Brakes
Q1 = Air Conditioning including Heater
T1 = Solex Tinted Glass in all window areas
V1 = Stone Shields and Sill Moldings
W1 = Undercoating and Hood Pad
X2 = Outside Rearview Mirror with Remote Control
Z2 = Radio Golden Tone, less Rear Seat Speaker

SHIPPING ORDER = 0131 1194 = 194th Car built on January 31, 1962
BDY = 824 = Chrysler 300 4door Hardtop (non letter)
TRM = 315 = Red Cloth and Vinyl Upholstery
PNT = PP1 = Festival Red, Paint Scheme Monotone

In my opinion, the optional engine code should be numbered below letter N on the tag:
5 = 380 HP Engine
6 = 340 HP Engine
Blanc = Standard 305 HP Engine (which You have…)

Igor,

You seem to be a wealth of information. Might you have further info on the fender tag from my 62 Chrysler New Yorker station wagon? Am I correct for the info highlighted in yellow? My car has all of these options, but I'm not sure if I have them in the correct order.

H2 = TorqueFlite
K3 = power seat???
Q5 = Heater w/defroster
R2 = tailgate entry assist handles???
W1 = Undercoating and hood pad
X2 = New Car Service; Outside rearview mirror w/remote (or is this standard with New Yorker?)
Z2 = Radio Golden Tone, less rear speaker (or is this standard with New Yorker?)

1223 1022 Shipping Order December 23, 1961
BDY 879 Town & Country Wagon, 9 passenger

TRM 423 Cocoa

PNT WW1 Oyster White

Thanks,

Robert

Hello Ev's62Chrysler

You are absolutely correct…

K3 = 353 = Power Seat Six Way – option for $101.90 (Power Tailgate Window 355 – standard on T&C Wagons)
R2 = 392 = Tailgate Entry Assist Handles - $17.30
New Car Service has code 651 and not stamped on the tag
X2 = 382 = Remote Control Outside Rearview Mirror - $18.00 – standard on New Yorkers, but has been stamped. It was optional even on 300G’s
Z2 = 362 = Radio Golden Tone ($92.80) less Rear Seat Speaker. Radio was optional for all models, Convertibles and T&C Station Wagons were not equipped with Rear Seat Speaker

Shipping Order, Body Number, Trim Code (all Tan Vinyl Upholstery) and White Monotone Paint are correctly too…

Great, thank you for the info.

1958300 - didn't mean to hijack your thread. Can't answer your original question, but can only offer if you have the IMB card for said vehicle, I assume it'd be identified in position 50, Engines and Power Packages.
