So, I owned a 61 Belvedere back in the early 90's that was a 1 owner with very low milage in mint condition that was a barn find for me, the first and only barn find but as life took it's turns I was forced to sell it and I've regretted it ever since. I've been looking for a number of years for the right one to come along and this was it. Just had it delivered to me today. It's ready to be my daily driver and everything works as it should, all interior lights the radio etc, all work and it's such a pleasure to drive this!! Hopefully the photos upload properly but if not, I'll try again tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum Jason. Can't wait to see your photos (unfortunately your first attempt(s) didn't work).

Too main issues:

1. Must be .jpg photos. .jpeg from an iPhone etc DO NOT WORK
2. Photos must be <250 kB. 1024 x 760 is a good size

For more hints, you might want to read through this thread:

Hey Aaron -

Congrats on the purchase !

Alt method for pictures: Create an album in Flikr, Google Photos, etc. Then post a link to the album here. Be sure to make the album public so others can see.

One advantage is that you don't have to be concerned about resizing the images.

Ron

I have a '61 fury myself and the car has been under restoration since winter of 2014 . It replaced the 1 I lost in a garage fire over 5 years ago . I know I was very fortunate to locate.a other '61 to fill the void. I know some folks here were worried about the car being shipped and trust me if the car arrived to me damaged I would raised all kinds of hell with the shipping company. Good luck and if you decide to have it as a daily driver have it appraised before you insure it Daily driver insurance companies will take advantage of you if you insure a car like that with them

ok, that sounds like it might do the trick for me. I couldn't figure out how to reduce the images taken from my iPhone. I'll try your method this weekend. I ran it yesterday in the mid 90's heat on the expressway and in town and though it was hot out the car did not overheat, like my old 65 Fury would do. Question though, should my radiator have a fan shroud? I'm already tinkering around with installing the extra aluminum trim pieces and hope to put a wax on it this weekend before I fly out for work this week.

Hi Stephanie, I believe I read your story on one of these online forums. SO sorry to hear you lost her but glad that you found a replacement. Good tip on insurance. It's insured now through GEICO just so that I can drive it legally but I'm looking for recommendations on getting a company to insure it for it's full appraisal, which I have no idea it's worth. I guess it goes by the cost of replacing it like for like in it's condition. Drove great all day yesterday in the scorching heat! My past Fury had factory AC which is so needed here in Norfolk, VA.

I have Condon Skelly for my '61 fury and I have Geico for my daily driver which is a 2016 Dodge Challenger. I raise my agreed value every year . I am doing this incase something happens but the garage is metal . You can google them and get a quote plus there is no limited miles on their policy I am hitting the sack its getting late and I am about to turn in to a pumpkin. ( Getting really tired ) Good night fellow forward lookers

That doesn't work.

You need to link the photos in the google drive to here by uploading them to the forum.

Doesn't work for us. We have to sign in to Google Drive to see them (I guess).

Try uploading them by first clicking on the [_] Attach a file after posting box under the dialogue box.

Then navigate to your photo and select it and then hit "OK".

Jason: Here are your photos. I got your email and save the photos to a folder on my computer. Then I opened Irfanview and went to that folder. Then I clicked on the first photo. When it loaded to my screen, I selected "Image" and then "Resize/Resample". Then I selected 1024 x 768 from the options and hit OK. Then I clicked on "File" and Save In same folder. I added _small to each of the photos and saved them. I know Irfanview defaults to .jpg (as opposed to the . jpegs that you sent). I repeated the process 4 times and then clicked on the [_] "Attach a file after posting" box and then the [Submit] button. Then I got the dialogue box than allowed me to Browse to the folder and selected a photo. Then I hit the new "[Submit]" button and watched it upload successfully (< 250kB). I repeated that process three more time and then hit the "Return to Posting" button.

Bob's yer uncle.

The agreed value on mine is $25,000 but raise it every year incase something happens . You can have what every agreed value you want . You do not have to go by what the book says . I regret not raising the agreed value on my other '61.
The highest I have seen is $40,000 but the lowest $10,000 but I could be wrong .I just do not not want to see you get taken advantage of because that is what an insurance company like Geico do to you if you have daily driver insurance on your '61.
That happened to me back in 1987 when some idiot pulled out infront of me and caused me to total my '57 plymouth but like a dumb idiot I let my parents handle it and I know I should of handled it myself. If I did I would of threatened to sue the other party for every penny if their insurance company dd not repair or replace my '57 with another '57 plymouth.
I know of some one who did that and got his classic car repaired.

Good advice, thank you. My son was rear ended in his 87 Jeep Commanche pickup and GEICO totaled it but their offer wasn't even enough to buy a used Jeep in horrible condition when ours was a one owner gifted to my son from my uncle. Such a rotten deal we got. SO, Geico won't offer me any classic car insurance because I don't have a garage to store it in. Perhaps this is standard practice I don't know but I need to find another carrier.

I travel for work and usually only home on the weekends thus a daily driver for me is weekend use only but I'm planning a couple road trips with the Fury. First one is to drive 2 hours north to Richmond, VA to go to a classic drive in movie theater. Then this fall I'll take the 7 hour trip to north NJ to see the in-laws. I had a 65 Fury that I drove from VA up to Nova Scotia and back with not a single issue.

I hope your son got a good lawyer . I have Condon Skelly for classic car insurance on my '61 fury and they are reasonable and there is no limited miles on the policy some other classic car insurance companies have 2500 miles a year or 3000 miles limits a year on their policies
my policy is over $164 a month but it would be more with road side assistan since mine is sitting now I won't need road side until I start driving it again . You might want to check them out they also have a web site also

no, we didn't have any injuries and didn't really know what our rights were regarding the value of the Jeep. Live and learn I guess. I checked with Condon and I do not have a garage at this point to store it in so there really isn't any collector car insurance that I've found yet for my situation.

I Discovered an error I pay $164 a year on my classic car insurance not monthly . The rate goes up is because I raise my agreed value every year. Why don't you ask a friend or a relative if you can keep the car in their garage until you get your own built that way you can get the classic car insurance .

unfortunately I don't know anybody who has a garage where I live. Storage places are all too far that have any big enough for me to park it in. I've purchased a couple car covers but they all leak in the water despite selling them as 100% waterproof. I'm going to have to buy a car port for it to best protect it from the elements but I'm still concerned that if I do get in an accident that I'm under insured and will be screwed. I do love driving the Fury though!!

That 4dr HT needs an Aero Wheel. I have one in the For Sale section if your looking for one. Here is a '61 Wheel I had restored a few years ago.

beautiful steering wheel!! It appears that my next investment for my Fury is a carport but I would love to eventually get one of those.

If you can save your files as .png on a Mac, those upload fine here. But to keep the file size small enough, you have to use an optimized or adaptive color pallet like this picture.
