Anyone know of a good way to get the dipstick tube into the back of the block with the engine in the car? My dad forgot to put one in before they put the engine in the car. And now that I have a new dipstick and tube I'm trying to figure out how to get it in without damaging something. The dipstick tube is in the freezer now, tomorrow we were going to warm up the engine to operating temperature and hopefully be able to somehow drive the cold tube into the block.

I made a "special" tool from a cheap 3/8" box end wrench and a piece of 5/16" keystock. I cut off the box end about a half inch from
the box and welded on the keystock at around a twenty degree angle. I works well and probably only cost a couple of dollars.

I left the dipstick tube in the freezer over night. Warmed up the engine to operating temperature, and I found a screw driver that slide inside the dipstick tube. Couple of light hits with a hammer and it was in, wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
