I have never seen a 413 with stampings like these. Is this a 1961 car engine? Somebody please shed some light on this for me please.

"R" is the year code for '61 but "M" is the year code for '59. The R being closest to the 41, I'd say it's a '61. What is the block casting date?

MR 413 stamped blocks are 1959 year engines. First year for the 413 cubic inch displacement.

the second set of numbers is the 9004 engine block serial number and if it has an iron cross stamp it has over sized bearings from the factory.

Whats the price for a rebuilt 61 413 engine no trans, intake,or exhaust? Long block more or less.
Was an HP stamping on pad done in 61?
Thank you
