Hey! I have a Dodge 57 with 325, runs nice when idle and driving until i come to a crossroad and when i turn either right or left it kind of stutters like if there is too much or little gas. If i pump 1 time at the pedal before i turn then it wont happen in the turn. Could this be the accpump?

The carb is a stromberg 2 port and is newly renovated by JJ Carbs in LA. Can it be something with it? My old carb does not have the same problem but I havent tested to change it tho. I have seen some bad reviews on internet about them and i wonder if they have put in some wrong components in it so this can occure. I live in Sweden so cant just send it back and forth so i have to do this by my own.

Thanks Kent.

It could be that the float in your carburetor isn't adjusted properly so that it is either allowing too much or too little fuel.

There must be guys in Sweden who know Stromberg carbs. That said, to me (just an opinion), it sounds like some thing is wrong with the float(s), i.e. they are not doing what they are supposed to do when they are subjected to the inertia forces of a turn, resulting in possibly flooding the carb during the turns.

I am guessing that your Strombery is one of these: WW3-149 or WW-3-159 but probably WW3-149.

There are some tech tips here:

There is a NOS WW3-159 on eBay for cheap

Hey, thanks for fast reply. I have tried to adjust it and it was fine but it could be like the other one said that it might be a small leakage in the float.

Thanks Kent

Checked the floater again and compared with my old carb and it was diffrent adjusted so i just put in the old one and it was gone.

Thanks Kent.
