Anyone know where to get these? I found one place but they wanted $55 for just one. They are on my horn wires on my Imperial.

Please show me the metal terminals that they fit. There are different ones. I might be able to help.

This is what the end of the wires look like where they attach to the horn.

Those are knows as Packard style connectors.
Any auto parts store worth their salt should have them.

I still can't be sure. What year is the Imperial and if I sent you new terminals and plastic ends could you crimp and solder the new terminals on?

I have a 59 Imperial. Just need a couple of the plastic covers to go over the wires for the third horn I added. Just to make it look more organized under the hood.

https://www.delcity.net/store/Packard-56-Series-Electrical-Connector...

The problem of course, is that the terminals he has are Packard 58 series and nothing 56 series will mate with them. Hence my question, can he crimp and solder 56 series terminals onto his wires to replace the 58s? BTW, 58 series have been obsolete for more than 25 years. If any were currently available I would still be fabricating wiring harnesses! Just FYI, since Packard switched the manufacture of 56 series parts away from Cleveland and to Mexico, they are junk!!

The function is the same but compare his pic with the female terminal on your link.

You're welcome.

Marc. Not sure who you are talking to but everything you posted is 56 Series Packard product and 56 Series female plastic insulators simply will NOT fit any terminals on a 59 Imperial!! I don't know what I have left but as I was disposing of my inventory I tossed a bunch of small items into a box that is in storage! If the guy is comfortable with soldering I would help by giving him the product, if I have it, to do the job if he paid for the shipping.

Guess it is the Covit!! He hasn't even replied!! Go ahead and try to help a Bulls**t cause and see how that works!! The offer is withdrawn!

Cheers,
Greg

I buy mine by the box from Car Quest.
Same as used on some Cub Cadet wiring setups.

BTW, what's up with the dam mile wide posts and pictures on here anymore?
Maybe hit the enter key once in a while??
Monster Pictures that take 3 screens to view sure make it a PITA to view.

Yeah, Dave. Most manufacturers used the 56 Series stuff. Some still do. EXCEPT Chrysler Corp'n. who never used them after 1957! Prior to 57 they used AMP products and Ply continued to use Amp for some years later.

Get current production male and female 56 series 6 pole connectors and try to plug them to each other. You will need a bench vise to do it!! Then try to take them apart!! Like I said, junk. The male terminals are fine. The female ones are not.

We had reservations for both meets this year. Too bad! Maybe next year, at least that's the plan. I've put a lot more miles on the old car this summer than usual. Waiting for A/C compressor head gaskets now. The guys in Tampa and Fort Worth don't have any! They rebuilt this compressor, but, oh yeah, that was close to 30 years ago! Getting parts is more and more difficult!
