Something strange happened last weekend, after many decades of dreaming of this car, it has landed on our property.

Haven`t been writing for a long time, someone on the forum maybe remember that I had a 1961 Imperial Crown Southampton at one time that was my dream car, but then it happened, sadly I had to let it go a couple of years ago...

Wasn`t planning anything new since my dream car left us but now a miracle has happened and this 1960 Plymouth Belvedere has arrived and couln`t be more happy! Yey!

Thanks, trying to get it running after 30 years of storage, will fix brakes and all that is expected to need attention. The starter was stuck so I took it out for a rebuild and the fuel system and ignition will be sorted and so on.. We`ll see? The car itself has survived in surprisingly good condition after all these years so it will stay this way at this time. No hurry when its finally here.

Still have to pinch myself, but yes its still here... Now the car is registered and inspected, ready for traffic as soon as the new plates arrive. Much done, to much to list with my lousy memory to remember with but its been kinda hectic and now I can lay back for awhile when waiting for the new plates to arrive. Its been kinda weird to set this car back in traffic since it hasnt needed any bodywork like welding and such, its been so well made in the days of the early 80`s so maybe we can call it a survivor of a kind?

Thanks Wizard! Were sure to do that! As so happens, we made already a test trip at the weekend to show the car to the former builder and owner of this car, we did cruise about 150 miles that trip, it was a nice trip. It was a "shake down trip" and we made it and had a blast!

I`ll try to post some pics in the evening.

A little warning or notice here before looking at the pictures, these pitures can make your eyes bleed if youre a purist! Im kinda purist my self but when talking of this car Im cool with it because I know where this car came from, the past.

Story behind this shortly;

The car is a soft custom, a vision of the builder in the early 80`s when the world was a lot different. Here in Finland we had strict import rules and taxes that almost nobody could even dream about cars like this, they had to built, like this car which is a mixture of missmatched parts, which ones, I leave it to you to find out. With its good contition overall its a time capsule for us here in this part of the world, so were going to keep it this way as is to honor our automotive history in Finland. Some of the Scandinavians here on this site might remember this vehicle from car shows in Finland in the mid 80`s. Although shown in shows around the country, this car and all other cars the builder made (still makes) they were made to be driven, as a fact this car made a roadtrip thru Sweden at the time it was finished, as we drove the car last weekend it rides like a train which was no surpise, couldnt be more pleased.

It`s the antenna for the aftermarket "Roadstar"-radio placed under the dash.
