That should be a fun project. Getting ready to wrap up the Dodge and move on to the Imperial? Where in CA did it come from? One bad thing about CA cars is the rubber is usually shot.

Are you sure you want to get into an Imperial? I love mine, but it is a pain in the but due to all the elaborate trim. Parts are hard to find and expensive. If my car was a 300, it would have been done long ago.

It came from Turners from Garrett

You can see it in the video. Someone stole the trim(probably the people storing it as they ebay parts) but I have most of it now... and been grabbing everything i can. Honestly if i didnt like the car so much I would never have got it.
60 Imperials always caught my eye.

Imperial part sellers are f*cking loonatics... 1000$ for a ignition switch? 500$ for a piece of sedan trim? really dude? I mean gouge on rare parts, not sh*t parts off a 500$ sedan... F that noise. Fortunately im not in a hurry.

I don't think this 60 is too bad, being a 2 door HT hurts though... but honestly i have alot of parts already. Just need a few bits and pieces, Garrett hooked me up.

not sure what is next, i should get back to my 70 gto... hell im going to barely get the 57/59 dodge fired up this year and I was going to have that done in a year... hah!... it will be close this year, but im wiring soon, then its just fire it up. Headliner is due this week then i can put the glass in it(after fuse block and dash).

I have this 5.7 hemi to slap into something also...

I mean I have a lifetime of projects I hope... 58 Plymouth, 57 300C, 60 Imperial, 57/59 regal, 70 GTO...

I think i might see about ditching the 300C... Ive collected a ton of parts for it, but im just not that thrilled with it, its kind of fugly car. I would rather work on/drive the Imperial and its a rarer beast. Ive gotten alot better on FWL cars now, i know what to look out for and how to fix stuff. The next car will be way easier, plus I gather parts when i see them. I have a full rust free floor pan for the plymouth, quarters, rockers, etc, hell bumpers are already chromed..

I like working on them more than driving

I've got a lifetime of projects for myself as well! I agree. The '60 Imperial is a great looking car. Good thing about it being disassembled is it'll be easier to bring it to new paint.

Congratulations Mike, welcome to the club!
I too am the proud owner of a '60 Coupe.
My car is a 'close to' original car. It has just over 100k miles, and is a driving car.
I look forward to seeing your progress. Let me know if you need pics of area's of my car, this might be some help to you.
I will pm you my email address, to exchange notes if needed.
I see your car has the smooooth trunk lid, nice!

Have you seen this youtube vid? Some inspiration for you maybe.

Here is the thread I started over 10 years ago about my car, you might have already seen it.

http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=31214&...

I remember reading a post of yours some time ago saying you wanted a 1960 Imperial. Good to see you have made this a fact now.

Jon is right, part sourcing for these cars is difficult, but sounds like you found the Honey hole

Steve.

Thanks man,

Yeah your car is insanely nice and original... That's got to be the only one in Aus or in that hemisphere :)... Well see if I can stomach the cost of putting it back to original..

I might be a similar restore like my 57/59 Royal/Regal... A bas***dization But a nice one. I do like my modern seats

Because parts are so hard to find but this one is better than the Dodge as a candidate for full restore I really really want to start on this one but have some other projects closer to completion. (70 GTO is next).
