Elite Veteran Posts: 873    Location: ALABAMA, HEART OF DIXIE | This is somewhat of a mystery. The left side motor mount on my 61 318 has a heat shield with a tab at the front. It aligns with the top mount bolt, the long one that goes through tabs, but there is a space of about 1 1/2" there. Any thoughts as to what the purpose of the tab is?
