Any one purchase a Floyd You Turn system ?
Other ideas, thoughts, systems.

You need to mention what you are working on. There's a big difference between a '55 Savoy and a '61 Chrysler. But in general, you will be much better off with the original power steering setup. Just source the parts from Big M and install it. Maybe the only exception, I think, might be the '55-'56 cars as their power steering is harder to rebuild.

1955 Dodge Coronet Suburban.
When I bought car steering column was manual and destroyed.
Added an IDIDIT unit, but want to upgrade to power with a new gearbox.

I'm guessing if you convert to a stock P.S. system, you will be buying parts that will need rebuilding? This made me think about my old spare 1960 Plymouth P.S. gearbox and rebuilding it just to have.
I just started looking around and am finding it more difficult than I expected. Can anyone give me a part # for a complete gearbox rebuild kit.

If you live in the US, you can get any local rebuilder to rebuild it for you. I don't know where to get the rebuild kits from, but apparently they have a source for them.
