I have a 1960 383RB that I plan on putting longram intake set up on. Will 1964 Chrysler 300K factory original cast iron headers mount correctly to my long ram intake as well as my 383RB heads ?

since both the intake and exhaust bolt to the heads, they should be in the same relation to each other and the 383RB has the same external dimensions as a 413.

Here they are installed in the car. You can get an idea for why the cutout is necessary from this picture. I believe this picture is from Wayne's car.

Yes they will fit.
I have had them on my 300F since 1984.
They will generate tons of under hood heat though during hot weather and with todays fuel I have experienced driving issues during the summer months.
The installation pictured above is for the "special" 4 speed cars using water cooling for the carbs.

Thanks for the info. Any chance you would have a direct contact from anyone that would have one or a set of block off plates that sit on top of the head between runners. I heard 300 club has them but I cant find contact. Thanks again Be Safe

I think you have to join the 300 club to get the contact.

Let me guess, they were missing from the set when you bought them.
Along with the linkage as well??

Has anybody here heard of anybody ever successfully useing regular stock 361,383,413 manifolds and modifying them to work with long Ram intakes?

Functionally, it wouldn't be difficult. Just create a flange for the mounting point and braze it on with openings cut into it and a flat machined where it sits. But it is difficult to get it to look stock if that is your goal.

Well yeah. Air cleaners, both rams and just the carb linkage for $400 years ago. Missing bell crank linkage on firewall, block off plates and of course manifolds and there plumbing parts.

Re Apollo 61's question from Nov 17, my 1961 Newport came with a 361. When my shop installed a 1971 440 and cross rams, the exhaust manifolds from the 440 would not fit. The 440 dropped right onto the Newport's motor mounts, but the manifolds were a no go. So we used the original exhaust manifolds from the 361.

We did not even attempt to plumb the exhaust manifolds to the undersides of the cross rams. Electric chokes work just fine.

2.5" exhaust all the way back, with a cross over H pipe and glaspak resonators just before the exhaust tips to quiet it down a bit. The car flys!

I hear you on the choke solution. More worried about the over hang weight of rams plus carbs and air cleaners. Hate to see cracks in rams or intake sealing issues. Custom support most likely a solution.

Good point, I forgot to mention that. My shop did fabricate a brace to support the undersides of the cross rams.

Here's some photos I was able to get from the pass side. It's really pretty simple. A stiff rod is bolted to the underside of the cross ram as you can see. I couldn't get a good photo of it, but the other end connects to the exhaust manifold flange where the exhaust pipe connects.
