A few years ago, I restored the steering wheel on my '64 Valiant 'vert
(brother has the car now).  I shot it with acrylic enamel automotive paint
with a flex catalyst added for good measure. Been on the car now for nearly
14 years now. Looks as good as the day I shot it. I'm very impressed.

BTW, I filled the two cracks in the wheel with JB Weld (grey epoxy).
