Folks, when you are asking help for such a problem, do not forget to mention
what year the car is.

I have never had such a problem, and the adjustment suggestion looks reasonable.
 If thee is no adjustment, may be you can remove the MC, install a few washers
as spacers to move the MC a bit forward, and then tighten it again.  I have
dine that to my 68 LeBaron when the booster gave up a while back (it was the
only way to get it to fit).  However, if your problem is intermediate, I am
wondering if your booster is about to give up.
