propane/gas dual setting carb.?

My fathers 545 Che*y conversion included a dual fuel
carb.  It bolted to the stock manifold so it was a
quadrajet replacement.  If they do not make one for
big blocks, an adapter from square bore to spreadbore
is only about 20 bucks.  Will a quadrajet will bolt
on?  It is a spreadbore carb (secondary holes larger
than primary).
