If you are going to go through all of that you might want to consider EFI.
I believe the main problem with long intake runners is fuel distribution.
I'm not an engineer, but I think the longer runners are actually good for
tourque, but if I remember correctly, the fuel can't atomize going through
such a long path.
By adding injectors at the ports, you avoid that problem and get even fuel
distribution. Gm port FI motors have long runners, but they are curved, the
ones on the right feed the left side of the engine and vice versa. Check
our RANCEFI.COM. They have some cool set-ups. Too bad it costs so much.
