Stereo

I have a 56 Imperial. It has the town and country radio with 3 scans. AM. 
It works well. My question is that I would like to put a newer am fm cd 
radio in the car. But I do not want to take the original out. Does anyone 
have any Ideas on how to accomplish this. The closest thing I can come up 
with is to make up something that would be one the floor up front..
