Well, electronic is good for anotehr 1 or 2mpg, so I like it, it's also no
maintenance (although electronics occationally fail) unlike points,
especially dual points.
What I did was to switch to electronic (Mopar Performance) and keep the
stock distributor in the car for a year or so, took a few trips to San
Fransisco and back to Los Angeles and no problems. Now I don't even keep the
stock distributor in the car anymore, from what I gather the electronic box
can be had anywhere too.
