my 59 dosnt have a timing mark any where on the dampner? ,,.i looked in
the manual and you are to pull #1 spark plug and gague tdc and mark the
dampner for timing..we always did this on race cars for more accuret
timing..#1 plug is front rite looking from the front bumper..or front
plug,,drivers side..you can use a dial indecater in the plug hole ,,or a
screwdriver,,while turning the crank with a wrench.pull dist cap to
approxamate #1 location ,,remenber the crank turns twice for 1 turn of
the disturbuter,,or do as the book says,tune by ear,to a slite ping at
full power and back off the timing 5 to 10 degrees,,,.rick
