Two years ago on my 83, the key would not function in the ignition any
longer, although it still opened both doors. My mechanic had to put in a
new ignition switch and key. I kept the old key for the doors because the
cost of changing the door locks to go with the ignition key was more than I
wanted to do. But I do miss the convenience of one key for both functions.

Hello all~
My 83 Imperial (Frankie) has decided it doesn't like it's ignition key any
longer. It goes in, but refuses to turn! I know it is the right key, it work
great before. I have tried moving the tilt wheel up and down, trying to move
the shifter and everything else I can think of. Anyone else ever had this
problem? Please help an old dude out!
