bogging on acceleration

I may be just 5' tall and have trouble reaching things
but am I right when i think it is a mixture problem. I
step hard on my accelerator and the car bogs down but
when I ease up the speed it is nice and smooth...  Is
that an adjustment or am i just stupid.
Sorry to have to ASK the whole club this but, im not
sure.
