'56 wiper motor

Hi All,
I have a '56 Imperial that has wipers that will not "Park".  Apparently
there is a switch(?) within the motor that no longer operates.  Are these
motors readily available?  If not, can used ones be bench-checked to see if
they operate in all modes?  Thanks a lot for your help and input.
