The part they are trying to sell you is probably correct. The one you are
describing on your car is the one which operates the idiot light/gauge
sentry device. The sender which operates the gauge is too the left of the
two terminal device, and has only one terminal, and it is much smaller.
Look again, I think you'll find it.
