Ouch. Yes, I have heard similar stories, like the floorboards rusting
out within a couple of years.
Well, part of the reason I'm so interested in this topic is, I'd like
to buy a '57 someday. I've just always wanted a '57 or '58 New Yorker,
300, or Imperial. The question is, should I go with a '58 or '59
instead? Are the 1957 cars that have survived this long "okay"-- or
do they suffer from the same problems they had when new? Is it
possible to find a good, relatively rustfree, original '57???
I would think the values of these cars would be less if so many of them
had problems.
