The 1946-48 Chrysler Shop Manual says to use 10W motor oil in the
semi-automatic transmission.
The Fluid Drive is actually the fluid coupling between the engine and the
clutch and is not part of the transmission. In the 1946-48 manual, the
Fluid Drive is convered in section IV with the clutch.

Subject: IML: Tranny fluid for a semi-automatic
Any suggestions as to what Transmission fluid on today's market should be
used in a 1948 semi-automatic? (Fluid Drive)
I'm also still looking for a center carrier bearing replacement or repair.
