RE: IML: EFI question

if you'r factory gauges don't work. and you want a EFI system like a holley or edelbrock. to help fix you'r factory gauges , it wont.  because the don't come with any harness that fix's anything, but you can get the parts wiring and any gauges from a junk car. or you can contact painless and tell them what you want to do and any problems you already have and they can make a wiring system for you.  I hope this helps..

I have an 82 and would like to install EFI on it.  But all the display things would have to work?or I would not do the installation.  This would be a neat thing to put together.  There are some people on the list who could comment on this.

Subject: IML: EFI question

I know the factory did carb conversions on the '81-'83, (Including my Guido) but has anyone here done a re-conversion, using a modern EFI  setup, such as pro-jection? It seems like the mechanics of it would be fairly straight forward, but the electronics could be a pain. I would love to try and integrate a system onto Guido, and still have the display computer for MPG and all that. Also, being CA, it would have to pass CARB regs. Comments?
