The 57 to 66 windshields for Imperials (convertible or hardtop) interchange
with the bulge at the top (57-63) or not (64-66). True, every Imperial convert
(57-66) had the windshield with the compound curve bulge at the top. I have
replaced the windshields in 64 and 65 convertibles with the glass from
the sedans with no problems; out of necessity since the older compound
glass is getting hard to come by. I can park my 66 convert next to my 59 Crown
Coupe and they are definitely the same glass.
By the way, I'm looking for some sun visors for 64-66 Imperial
convertible (different from hardtops). Any leads would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Bryan St. Mary

NOPE!
It's
easy to make assumptions (I do it all of the time), but I have the Auto
Interchange Systems interchange manual for all Chrysler products from
1950-65, and it's quite clear on the topic:
ALL 1957-1963 Imperials of
every body-style use one, single, specific windshield. Compound
curved from side-to-side and from top to bottom. 1964-66 Imperials had an
entirely different windshield without the bulge at the top, EXCEPT on the
1964-66 convertibles, which used the older, compound-curvature windshield
from 1957-63.
That's what I said before, but now I'm using the manual
to get the information for y'all.
