I think Rodger refers in ters of top speed. The "muscle cars" were usually gear limited and/or lift limited. The fastest muscle car test I have seen was a Hemi GTX 3.23, and the speed was 144 mph (in another test, a hemi charger had an "estimated" top of about 165, but the testers did not actually reach that speed). The 69 Polara was clocked at 147, probably with a 2.76. Many standard C bodies including Imperials would probably reach good speeds with the proper exhaust system, but the testers of such cars were rarely in top speed. The HP cam would definately help...
