Having done both , Id rather rebuild a torqueflite than a sure grip any day. Im not talking about the removal or reinstallation now, just the rebuilding. Of course, once you get past acquiring the pinion depth setting tooling and if you have an arbor press to do the bearings and the time and patience to play with shims or crush sleeves depending on the year, then its not so bad. Ill take dealing with clutch packs, servos, bands and valve bodies any day ! :)
