Imperialists, Yesterday, I received a packet from Chrysler on the 300. It contained some kind of write up brochures done in conjunction with Road and Track and Motor Trend magazines. The Road and Track pamphlet detailed the history of the 300 (I am getting to the Imperial part) When they got to the 1970 300-H (Hurst), they said it was based on a Chrysler Imperial coupe. Now I am no expert but in the books that I have read I don't recall any connection with that car being a soaped up Imperial coupe. I have seen one of those cars in person and don't recall much if any resemblance beyond the corporate fuselage look. Can anyone more knowledgeable clear this up for me?
