RE: IML: Chrome and powdercoating

Try some lacquer thinner on the painted chrome. It shouldn't be too
difficult to remove.

Sorry, I haven't tried powder coating yet. It's on my list of things to
try, but not high on the list. I would think it would work, but I don't
know. Try checking the message boards at Caswellplating.com. They sell
plating and powder coating supplies. Someone there may have tried this
already.

I have to admit I'm curious about what you are working on. Somehow I think
it may be more Salon material than the main list. I'd like to see where you
are going with this.

I want to know if you can blast a part and coat it while you leave a chrome
section of the part chrome? Will 400 degrees kill the chrome?
2ND- I have a part that paint over the chrome but I think that the chrome
may be OK, how can I remove it and not kill the chrome? Paint stripper?
Thanks,
Charles
