Of course you think the front heater is more than enough.  You're in the 
front seat.  Oh, and you live in Texas.  I would think that your mother in 
law might complain about insufficient heat in the rear seats during a tour 
of North Dakota in February.   Think of it as another luxury which other 
cars are just getting around to-separate heating zones.
