IML: '56 Torqueflites



Articles that I have read in several magazines indicate a switch around the 
16th of February in '56.  My car, S/N 567616, was built 2/21/56 and has a 
Torqueflite so it must be one of the very first.

It seems that the change occurred around February 1956. I haven't seen any 
documentation as to the exact date or number of cars produced with each 
transmission.
