RE: IML: 61 Transmission Gave Up The Ghost



The fluid would probably be burned if the automatic totally failed. It would be very dark or black, and smell really bad. If the fluid is still clean, and the car wasn't giving prior symtoms, I suspect something has come undone or snapped. 

Did the push button feel right? Sometimes these can come off of their respective levers.
